The burger
Sesame bun, proper char on the patty, honest and unfussy. Nothing that's going to trouble Ashford's 9.2, but a long way clear of QPR's 5.6 too, and at £4 it's the cheapest item the index has recorded so far.

The rest of the board reads the same way: chips take the same burger to £6.20, and a double is £6.00 — which tells you the £4 headline is a genuine single-patty price, not a stripped-back one.
The bottom of the pyramid
Our logo has ten tiers in it, running down to a single point — tier 10, the last level before promotion into the pyramid stops meaning anything structured at all. Tonight's fixture is the first entry we've recorded there. Chelmsley Town play in the Midland League, tier 10, two divisions below the club whose ground they were borrowing.
That club is Coleshill Town, who own Pack Meadow and play two levels up, at Step 4. It's the widest groundshare split the index has recorded, wider than Kingstonian's arrangement at Ashford Town's ground.
It shows in the pricing. Coleshill's own posted admission for 2025-26 is £12 for adults, £9 for concessions, £3 for youth aged 12 to 16, and free for under-12s — proper Step 4 pricing. Tonight, for Chelmsley's pre-season friendly on the same pitch, admission was free.
Why the gap matters more than the price
Free admission isn't really the story here — pre-season friendlies at this level often carry little or no gate, and that's normal rather than remarkable. The real thing worth noticing is what a two-tier groundshare actually looks like in practice: a club that charges its own supporters £12 a game hosting a fixture at Step 6, where the visiting team's own crowd got in for nothing.
That's a big gap, and it's one more clubs are quietly bridging than you'd think — a Step 4 club with spare capacity in its fixture list, a Step 6 club without a settled home of its own that night. Ten tiers down, that's about as far as the pyramid goes, and it still runs on the same basic arrangement as everywhere else in it.
